    The hospital is designed to provide mass treatment of common eye diseases. There is provision of OPD service for 500 persons per day and OT service for 400 person per week. The four-storey building with basement parking facilities has a plinth area of 16600 sq. ft. Simplicity in design, maintenance free design, climate responsive design and seismic resistant design are the key features of the project. Designed as an extension of the present hospital building , the aim has been to provide service to maximum number of patients ,acting also as a research centre . The construction is divided into three phases. An interesting overhead bridge connection is made with the existing hospital. The Research Centre includes Auditorium, Publication room, Library and Multimedia centre.

  3. Name of the Project: Capital Hospital & Research Centre

    The hospital is designed to provide specialized services in the field of orthopedics, gynecology and obstetrics. The seven-storey hospital building with plinth area of 1700 sq. ft. comprises following facilities: 25 beds out patients department, operation theaters, post operative wards, laboratories, post operative wards, laboratories, radiology department, physiotherapy department.

    The main design feature of this project is to amalgamate two separate adjacent building (one was a polyclinic and other was a commercial building) into a hospital building.

  4. Name of the Project: BSL-3" Lab Building at Avian Influenza Control Project, Directorate of Animal Health 
    Location: Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu
    Year of Execution: 2009
    Project Cost: NRs. 39,131,749.53
    Client: PTM Engineering GmbH, Strehgasse 23, Switzerland associated with Fio Tec (Thailand) Co. Ltd., No. 320 Ekamai Soi 18, Sukhumvit 63,  Thailand

    The firm was involved in the project as local consultant for the international consultant PTM Engineering GmbH, Strehgasse 23, Switzerland.
    The lab building is one and half storey with plinth area of 350.00 sq.m. The building was designed to meet WHO standard. It requires high sanitary cleanness in lab area with positive pressure.

    All the buildings are designed as per local climate, by maximum using local construction material and as per the local labour skill. The building design meets the earthquake resistant design and energy efficient design. Size and location of windows are calculated to provide good cross ventilation and smooth day light distribution at office spaces.
